How to Submit an AI Agent to Directories: A Practical Listing Checklist

Prepare an AI agent listing that communicates the problem, buyer, evidence, pricing, and destination clearly.

AI agent profile, submission checklist, trust shield, and destination link

Start with the destination

Send visitors to a page that explains one product and one primary action. A generic company homepage, a broken waitlist, or a social profile without product context wastes the attention a directory sends.

The destination should load quickly on mobile, use HTTPS, and state what happens after the main call to action.

Write for a specific buyer

A useful listing answers three questions immediately: who the agent is for, what job it completes, and what evidence supports the promise. Replace broad claims such as 'revolutionary AI platform' with a concrete outcome and boundary.

  • Name the user or team.
  • Describe the task in plain language.
  • State important integrations or input requirements.
  • Explain whether a human reviews the output.
  • Disclose pricing or the trial path on the destination page.

Choose the narrowest accurate category

Category pages help visitors compare products with similar jobs. Pick the category that represents the product's main use today, not every market it may enter later. A sales prospecting agent belongs in Sales & Lead Generation even if it also uses automation infrastructure.

Prepare trust evidence

Directories can deliver a click, but the product page must earn the next action. Show real screenshots, a concise privacy explanation, support contact details, and terms that match the product. Do not use invented customer counts, reviews, revenue, or security certifications.

Measure the listing

Add campaign parameters to your destination if you need source-level analytics. Compare visits, qualified signups, activated users, and revenue rather than judging a listing only by raw clicks. A smaller number of high-intent visits can outperform a large untargeted audience.
