Outbid Agents: How the Transparent Paid AI Agent Leaderboard Works
How confirmed bids, sponsored ranks, automatic activation, refunds, and click counts work on the Outbid Agents leaderboard.

The short version
Outbid Agents is a sponsored AI-product leaderboard. A product's position is determined by its highest confirmed bid, not by an undisclosed editorial score. The bid is visible beside the listing, so every visitor can understand why a product occupies its rank.
The board is designed for founders who want measurable distribution and for buyers who want clear disclosure. It does not claim that the highest bidder is the objectively best AI product.
How a listing earns a position
A new listing starts with the public bid floor. An existing listing must be beaten by at least the displayed increment. Checkout is handled by Polar, but a checkout page or return URL never changes the ranking by itself.
- The payment provider must confirm a paid order.
- The bid amount and listing identity must match the signed order metadata.
- A verified completed payment activates a valid listing automatically.
- Equal confirmed bids keep the earlier confirmed position.
Why payment confirmation matters
Payment systems have intermediate states such as pending, confirmed, failed, and expired. Only a definitive paid event can promote a listing. This prevents an abandoned or failed checkout from appearing as revenue or occupying a public rank.
If a paid bid is refunded or disputed, that bid loses its position and the next-highest eligible confirmed bid becomes authoritative.
What the public numbers mean
Confirmed sales is the sum of completed, non-refunded bids recorded by the marketplace. Board value is different: it is the sum of the bids currently holding visible positions. Clicks count outbound visits through Outbid Agents. None of these values is padded with demo traffic or estimated revenue.
Sponsored does not mean hidden
Paid placement is useful when the commercial relationship is obvious. Every visible rank is a sponsored rank backed by a disclosed bid. Outbound listing links are also marked as sponsored for search engines.
